Use me Lord. Use me until I am all used up. May I be disciplined in listening to You. May I do your work.

God’s goal for us is that we help Him with the work He has in mind for us. What is that work? Teaching, reporting Kingdom news and healing, both physical and spiritual. His plan does not include doing it without us.

This is something Jesus is passionate about. It breaks his heart to see so many who need him and how few of us there are that will do the work.

May I be one God counts on. May I be one of the few.

Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.” Matthew 9:37

Or read it in The Message translation:

Then Jesus made a circuit of all the towns and villages. He taught in their meeting places, reported kingdom news, and healed their diseased bodies, healed their bruised and hurt lives. When he looked out over the crowds, his heart broke. So confused and aimless they were, like sheep with no shepherd. “What a huge harvest!” he said to his disciples. “How few workers! On your knees and pray for harvest hands!”
