Jesus warns us to be careful about what we say to others. Our mandate is to love. Anything other than that is not acceptable. Our words to others is a reflection of life or death. This is stark but Jesus gives us a whole new way to live through His Holy Spirit.
In God’s world (Kingdom) there is no loving your friends and hating your enemies. It is only love. What we say to others should reflect that. Jesus demands it. Jesus is clear. We are not to think we are righteous because we don’t murder or physically hurt other people. Our thoughtless hurts others and is the opposite of love.
“You’re familiar with the command to the ancients, ‘Do not murder.’ I’m telling you that anyone who is so much as angry with a brother or sister is guilty of murder. Carelessly call a brother ‘idiot!’ and you just might find yourself hauled into court. Thoughtlessly yell ‘stupid!’ at a sister and you are on the brink of hellfire. The simple moral fact is that words kill.(Matthew 5:21-22 The Message)
Michael…you might want to go to my promise book website (http://PromiseBook.net) and do the linkback for this article under Proverbs (menu heading) I just posted an article there today on words from Proverbs. It would be more appropriate as opposed to an article about a Word from God regarding Israel. 😉 God bless you!!!!

I just thought to tell you…in case I wasn't clear..I'm leaving it there too..where you put it….but you might want to link people back to this article from the one on promise book too since they're about the same thing. I hope I did not imply NOT to have it where you have it at all.that wasn't what i meant..I'm typing fast and doing several things at once. Sorry, again, if I wasn't clear.

It wasn't really a 'correction' as you didn't do anything wrong..however, my first message came across like that and I noticed after I read it…I didn't mean it that way. I actually thought, “Wow..the Holy Spirit moves when so many people are writing about the same thing! Amazing! i'll bet he'd like to link to the one I just posted on my other site!” That's what I thought… but there was nothing you did wrong to correct. God bless you!!!! Hope you're enjoying your Monday… gotta love the Mondays, huh? 😉
