Radical Sayings of Jesus

Jesus has a mission for us. He commissioned us. He commanded us to do it. He demands we pay attention. This isn’t optional. So let us pay attention to what He wants.

His mission for us starts with go out and train. The audience is everyone near and far. What a wonderful time we live in right now. If we see our mission as a digital ministry, we have the tools to go out and train, near and far. Not only do we have some amazing tools today, the pace of change is accelerating so fast that the new tools that will come in the next few years will make our heads spin. They don’t make God’s head spin though. It is His intent that we use them to make disciples all over the world.

What an amazing God we serve.

So … here starts the manifesto for the digital ministry. Fasten your seat belts, it may be a bumpy ride but God will use us when we listen to Him about this exciting world. Let’s not hold back, risking ourselves totally.

Meanwhile, the eleven disciples were on their way to Galilee, headed for the mountain Jesus had set for their reunion. The moment they saw him they worshiped him. Some, though, held back, not sure about worship, about risking themselves totally.

Jesus, undeterred, went right ahead and gave his charge: “God authorized and commanded me to commission you: Go out and train everyone you meet, far and near, in this way of life, marking them by baptism in the threefold name: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Then instruct them in the practice of all I have commanded you. I’ll be with you as you do this, day after day after day, right up to the end of the age.
