King Jesus, the Messiah, could nail it. And nail it he did.

All of life should be about doing what we hear God saying. There is a flip attitude that others in this culture appreciate but dishonors God. So … who do I want to please? Who is most important?

I should drive the trite out of my life. God is God and he is serious. God can’t be reduce to a simple slogan. Doing so trivializes the magnitude of who he is and what he has done for us.

Don’t be flip with the sacred. Banter and silliness give no honor to God. Don’t reduce holy mysteries to slogans. In trying to be relevant, you’re only being cute and inviting sacrilege.
