The wise are so powerful in what the say. It is like the very old ad on TV, “When ABC speaks, people listen”. A wise person’s words just clear the air. We say to ourselves, now that is right.
Not so with the wicked. Imagine a very smoggy day in Los Angeles. That is what un-wise people words are like.
God’s goal for us is to be wise, speak the truth and clear the air. In the popular culture of this world, there is a lot of pollution out there. May we seek to find people, with wisdom and graciousness, can clear the air. What is wise in God’s world is much different than the wisdom of this world.
“The speech of a good person clears the air; the words of the wicked pollute it.” ~~King Solomon (Proverbs 10:32)
Great post. I wish we had more wise people speaking. It’s sort of like the book of Job when his three friends just kept misapplying things right and left. Elihu cleared the hot air a bit and God blew the rest of it away.

Great reminder to think about when we listen to someone.
Someday I hope some computer geek will invent a computer program to work like a: smellometer”to emit a bad odor whenever it detects a wicked words polluter speaking.
The same kind of smell King Solomon described in ( Ecc 10:1)
As dead flies give perfume a bad smell,
so a little folly outweighs wisdom and honor.
Wishful thinking.
Regards and goodwill blogging.

A smellometer would be perfect.
