What I think I need and what I actually may need are probably two different things. God focuses on giving me what I actually need. Jesus, the Messiah, is just good that way.

More important, the person I need to be is the focus of God’s goal for me. God has a plan. God is making me into his child. God wants me to be mature.

My focus should be on who does God want me to be. Am I achieving that goal? Many times I miss it. Some times I don’t. The good news is that God doesn’t stop. That doesn’t slow him down. God is focused on his plan and goals. They will be achieved.

I, Paul, together with Silas and Timothy, greet the church of the Thessalonian Christians in the name of God our Father and our Master, Jesus the Messiah. Our God gives you everything you need, makes you everything you’re to be.
