We see athletes do it all the time. Strutting their stuff when they do something cool.
Subtly we are learning in our culture that taking credit is a good thing. Tooting our own horn is supposed to make sense. Not strutting can be seen as a weakness.
God is love. He doesn’t strut and neither should we. Love is humble and doesn’t need someone to shout out about great we are. Jesus challenges us to love. That is, it. Love God and love everyone we encounter.
Love doesn’t strut.
1 Corinthians 13 (The Message Bible)
Some people really like The Message. I kind of like the Authorized (King James) Version, but it can be difficult to understand. Yet the language!
As I grow older, I grow more amazed that the Authorized (King James) Version was the work of a committee.

The KJV is great. You are right, nothing like the language. Be blessed. God is with you.
