Forgiveness
Forgiveness is not about how we feel. Forgiveness is about what we say, what we think and what we do. We need to change how we think about forgiveness. God chooses to forgive us in spite of how we act. God chose to send his son Jesus show us how forgiveness and love work. God is in a good mood.
Jesus challenges us to know that “there is a connection between what God does and what you do. You can’t get forgiveness from God, for instance, without also forgiving others. If you refuse to do your part, you cut yourself off from God’s part.” (Matthew 6:15)
Forgiveness is an act of the will, and the will can function regardless of the temperature of the heart.
~Corrie Ten Boom
Corrie perfectly captures our most common excuse—our lack of love, and then draws our attention to the perfect example of both love and forgiveness. Thanks for sharing this great quote 🙂

It’s unknown to so many that, in addition to a command of Christ, forgiveness is an exercise in freeing ourselves.
