New Life

New Life

Jesus challenges us to live a completely new life. There is nothing in the old life that is worthy of God, our Father. Nothing. Nada. Not a thing.

We have learned the way of Jesus the Messiah. Jesus has breathed a new life in us.

  • We are paying very careful attention to what Jesus wants us to do.
  • God has a goal for us.
  • We are not ignorant.
  • We don’t have that as an excuse at all.
  • We know and Jesus expects us to act on what we know.

God wants us to be his children and take on his character. Jesus has paid the price for us to inherit God’s very existence of love. God is focused on love and wants us to do the same.

But that’s no life for you. You learned the Messiah! My assumption is that you have paid careful attention to him, been well instructed in the truth precisely as we have it in Jesus. Since, then, we do not have the excuse of ignorance, everything—and I do mean everything—connected with that old way of life has to go. It’s rotten through and through. Get rid of it! And then take on an entirely new way of life—a God-fashioned life, a life renewed from the inside and working itself into your conduct as God accurately reproduces his character in you.
