As a follower of Jesus the Messiah, I have to be careful. There are ministers who are charlatans and frauds. Their message runs counter to the good news I have about who Jesus was and is. It may be subtle or it may be clear. These frauds don’t believe who Jesus is.

Jesus is the Messiah, anointed by his Father, our God. Jesus came to us in the flesh and blood. Jesus was fully human in all regards, except one. Jesus always met God’s goal, never once missing it (i.e, Jesus never sinned). As the perfect and mature human, Jesus sacrificed himself for us. Jesus died and was buried. Jesus rose from the grave, triumphant over death. Jesus ascended into heaven and now rules everything, sitting at God’s right hand. That is the truth and that is the message.

I must call out any minister who doesn’t give us that message. That good news is at the core of what we believe. I must be clear about that.

There are a lot of smooth-talking charlatans loose in the world who refuse to believe that Jesus the Messiah was truly human, a flesh-and-blood human being. Give them their true title: Deceiver! Anti-Messiah!
