Child of God
I am not sure I would have wanted to have been a part of this. But then again, I know I don’t always do what I should either. I miss the mark. I miss the point. God has a goal for me and I am way off track.
- Of course, this started when THEY decided to be mean to children.
- But, they did it in front of Jesus.
There is this side of Jesus we don’t always want to talk about. Jesus could get angry. Jesus could get indignant.
Jesus had real feelings for how His Father wanted things to be done. God’s way of doing things in his country (His Kingdom) is not ours. I must learn it. Jesus knows how to make the point with us, even if it is forcefully some days. It is out of love.
Jesus loves me and because He does, He can take me to the woodshed.
This is what Jesus said to His disciples. They were VERY close to Him. Hmmm!!!
People were bringing little children to Jesus to have him touch them, but the disciples rebuked them. When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” And he took the children in his arms, put his hands on them and blessed them.
