Love of Jesus
It is hard imaging this actually happened but then again sometimes we have a “fantasy image” of Jesus that is not anchored in reality.
When religious people don’t understand what is happening, it is easy to blame things on evil. And so, the religion scholars from Jerusalem came down spreading rumors that Jesus was working black magic, using devil tricks to impress them with spiritual power.
- Jesus doesn’t ignore it.
- Jesus confronted their slander.
Jesus still does that today. We must face who Jesus is and not slander Him. This is particularly important. Jesus demands it.
If someone is doing good, in the name of God, can that be the devil?
