God has a goal for me. It is God’s plan not mine. He has set me apart to make sure it gets done.
It is not always easy. Doing what God wants can (may) get us in trouble. God is clear about what we should do.
Like Paul, can I say I have no regrets? I know some days I live in the land of regrets. It is the story I tell myself about why things are so bad. If only I had done something different. What I do doesn’t change God’s goal for me.
- I can trust.
- I can be sure of what I am doing.
- God will take care of the details.
- God will do it right up to the end.
This is the Message I’ve been set apart to proclaim as preacher, emissary, and teacher. It’s also the cause of all this trouble I’m in. But I have no regrets. I couldn’t be more sure of my ground—the One I’ve trusted in can take care of what he’s trusted me to do right to the end.
