Act, Apostle James Sayings, Fool, Hear, James, James 1, James 1:22, Jesus
Am I fooling myself? Possibly. Probably. This is a tough question.
I have heard a lot. God’s word has been with me since I was incredibly young. I have heard it every day.
- Listening without acting on what I have heard is useless.
- I must act on what I hear.
Jesus challenges me. I must do what God wants me to today.
Don’t fool yourself into thinking that you are a listener when you are anything but, letting the Word go in one ear and out the other. Act on what you hear! Those who hear and don’t act are like those who glance in the mirror, walk away, and two minutes later have no idea who they are, what they look like.

A helpful reminder, Michael. These days when so many things seem out of our control, we need to be reminded that we need to be responding to God’s word and showing His love to those around us. Jesus said, ‘If you love me, you will keep my commands.” And, “By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” Hearing without doing is a dead faith. Thanks!
