Jesus sacrificed his body for me. Jesus has set up a sacred ritual for me to remember that precious act. What better symbol than the breaking of bread?
He told us before it happened that it would. Jesus created a beautiful sacrament so can continue to participate and remember.
What a wonderful God we serve. May I never forget what Jesus has done for me.
In the course of their meal, having taken and blessed the bread, he broke it and gave it to them. Then he said,
