Jesus knows what I am thinking in my heart. I may not have said it but he knows.

Jesus has a question for me. It is one I must confront.

Jesus wants to know “Why am I thinking these things?

So why am I?

It started because Jesus had told a paraplegic that he forgave his sins. Now that rocked the religious leaders boat who heard him say that. They rightly surmised that only God could do that but clearly did not believe Jesus was the son of God.

So … it is back to the same question for me. Why don’t I believe that Jesus is the son of God?

I’ve confessed that Jesus is the son of God, the Messiah and my master. But … there are moments where the challenge at hand gets the best of me. I need to change my mind (repent) and start thinking about who Jesus is and what Jesus can do.

Now that is some good news!

Immediately Jesus knew in his spirit that this was what they were thinking in their hearts, and he said to them, “Why are you thinking these things?”
