Elihu has been on a rant for several chapters now. Job’s friends take turns (and delight) in berating Job. He takes it.
Every once in a while a jewel does come forth. And eventually Job figures it all out.
While I might try to escape God, I can’t. I need to understand that. God’s goal for me is to listen and obey God. The soon I get that, the better off I am.
Reality check: I can’t escape God.
“No one can escape the weather—it’s there. And no one can escape from God.” ~Elihu to Job
