Discipline is very tough and at the time it is tough to appreciate. My heavenly Father disciplines me because he loves me. God is God. He knows what is in my best interest. I don’t have that luxury.
I can accept the discipline or I resist it and be stubborn. Defiance is not a great road to travel down. It leads me to a place that eventually breaks me. It is not pleasant to see. It is not the road I want to travel on at all.
I want the road of love which includes discipline intended to help me. God is in a very good mood. He wants to see me mature. His gentle discipline leads me to a complete and whole life in Jesus, the Messiah.
“For people who hate discipline and only get more stubborn, there’ll come a day when life tumbles in and they break, but by then it’ll be too late to help them.” ~King Solomon
