Image result for kindness of jesus

I want the quality of compassion and generosity in my life. I need to learn how God loves the weak and poor. It is demanded of me as a slave of Jesus. I see the kindness is shown in the words and deeds of Jesus the Messiah.

In Galatians 5:22 I learn that “the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.”

I desperately need more kindness and compassion in my life. I need to judge less and love more. That is the way of Jesus. That is what Jesus calls me to do. I know I want others to be kind to me. I need to be kind and compassionate no matter what.

Kindness is the quality of compassion and generosity, characteristic of God’s dealings towards the weak and poor, and demanded of believers. The kindness is also shown in the words and deeds of Jesus the Messiah.

God shows it to his people. I have some great news! Jesus shows kindness to his people. That means me. That means you. God’s kindness is abundant and complete. I don’t need anything else.

Isaiah 63:7 (NASB) — I shall make mention of the lovingkindnesses of the Lord, the praises of the Lord, According to all that the Lord has granted us, and the great goodness toward the house of Israel, which He has granted them according to His compassion and according to the abundance of His loving kindnesses.

My enemies can’t do anything to affect God’s kindness. Now that is amazing.

Ezra 9:9 (NASB) — “For we are slaves; yet in our bondage our God has not forsaken us, but has extended lovingkindness to us in the sight of the kings of Persia, to give us reviving to raise up the house of our God, to restore its ruins and to give us a wall in Judah and Jerusalem.

God’s kindness never ends. Like the energizer bunny, it just keeps going and going.

  • Isaiah 54:8 (NASB) — “In an outburst of anger I hid My face from you for a moment, but with everlasting lovingkindness I will have compassion on you,” Says the Lord your Redeemer.
  • Hosea 11:4 (NASB) — I led them with cords of a man, with bonds of love, and I became to them as one who lifts the yoke from their jaws; and I bent down and fed them.
