Bravo, God, Bravo!

Where is my enthusiasm for God and His marvelous works? Why don’t I shout it out? Do I long for an encore? What is it about God’s glory that causes me to stand in awe? Am I ready to stand at attention and salute the King of Glory?

Bravo, God, bravo!
Gods and all angels shout, “Encore!”
In awe before the glory,
in awe before God’s visible power.

Where is my enthusiasm for God and His marvelous works? God is not boring. God is God and God deserves my enthusiasm. I need to yell out “Bravo, Bravo”!

Why don’t I shout it out? I am silent many days. I go through the day not uttering a word about the stunning work of God and Jesus. It is a stunning day in paradise. I will shout it out.

“Right now I am storm-tossed. What am I going to say? ‘Father, get me out of this’? No, this is why I came in the first place. I’ll say, ‘Father, put your glory on display.’”

A voice came out of the sky: “I have glorified it, and I’ll glorify it again.” | John 12:27-28

Do I long for an encore? God has done amazing works. I long for God to do it again and to do it better and more gloriously. Encore dear Jesus! Encore Holy Spirit! More and more. I want more.

Then Jesus said, “Did I not tell you that if you believed, you would see the glory of God?” | John 11:40

I want to see it again.

What is it about God’s glory that causes me to stand in awe? Here is something stunning. Listen to Jesus.

“Father, I desire that they also, whom You have given Me, be with Me where I am, so that they may see My glory which You have given Me, for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.” | John 17:24 (NASB)

Jesus wants me to see His glory. Lord Jesus, show me your glory! Now that is something to ask for. Good news! Jesus wants to do it and will.

The beauty of Jesus is stunning. I can’t bear to look directly into His brilliance. Oh, the magnificence of the Son of God.

Am I ready to stand at attention and salute the King of Glory? I will honor God and Jesus. I will stand at attention to my King. Jesus is in charge. Jesus deserves my utmost respect. I am so proud of the work Jesus has accomplished for me.
