Today is the 55th anniversary of the “I have a Dream” speech. I was 9 years old during the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom on August 28, 1963. I was living in Atlanta, Georgia. The deep south was clearly a racist world at that time. It wouldn’t stay that way. Change was on the way.
We celebrate Dr. King’s vision and the speech he gave that galvanized our country. It is stunning and still rings home today.
