Right words
We need friends but we need wise friends that we can count on to say the right thing at the right time.
I don’t like it when someone reproves and reprimands me. It hurts. Mainly because I always immediately sense the element of truth and rebel against it.
Are they a wise friend? Then I should embrace their delivery of the word of God and welcome it in my life.
The right word at the right time is like a custom-made piece of jewelry, and a wise friend’s timely reprimand is like a gold ring slipped on your finger. ~King Solomon | Proverbs 25:11-12
It starts with having wise friends. I have some. I need more.
I need to open up to feedback, whether solicited or not. Wise friends know the right time to say something. I must encourage that more. Do my friends feel like I am open or not to the word of God coming from their lips?
Nothing like the right word at the right time. God is speaking to me. Jesus has something to say. He is going to use prophets to deliver it to me.
I must listen.
