I love it when friends help. It is always a blessing. But there is always a limit to what can be done.

We all have a lot of hard tasks on any given day or hour. At the end of the day it is God who truly helps with the very hard tasks. It is God who picks me up and carries me to the finish line. It is God who defeats my enemies. It is all God all the time.

It is wrong for me to give anyone but Him credit. It is a God thing all the way.

Give us help for the hard task; human help is worthless. In God we’ll do our very best; he’ll flatten the opposition for good. ~ King David| Psalm 60:11-12 (The Message Bible)

In this corporate lament psalm, which is used for group settings, David laments a recent military defeat and prays that God will accompany His people in their next battle. He describes how he feels God has rejected them but shows confidence in God’s deliverance. After God speaks, David asks for His help in battle. David knows the victory belongs to God.

David is confident that, with God, they will be victorious.

Victory or defeat belongs to God and God alone. God has a goal for me. God is God and I am not. My job is to focus on God.
