Jesus rose from the dead. That is amazing and represents the good news of God.
God is not dead. We stand against the notion because we know the power of God. We have great evidence that Jesus rose from the dead into an incorruptible body.
We are a people of good news. People are confused. They are looking to find the way.
We are to be a witness to the goodness of God.
“The urgency to preach the Good News is as true today as it was two thousand years ago, even if some scholars have naively declared God to be dead, forgetting that they are dealing with a God who found His way out of the grave…”
~ Roman Catholic Cardinal Ivan Dias implores Anglican Bishops at the Lambeth Conference to stand against “moral confusion.”
Michael, cardinal Ivan Diaz propagated the Roman Catholic church’s salvation system of sacramental grace and merit. That’s definitely not the genuine Good News! of salvation by God’s grace alone, through faith alone, in Jesus Christ alone.
I’ll let cardinal Diaz speak for himself. Below is a link to a preface he wrote for a book urging Catholics to pray for the “holy souls in purgatory.” Purgatory is just one anti-Scriptural facet of Catholicism’s works-righteousness system.

Thanks for the insight.
Sorry, but I thought it was a pretty good quote and accurate according to the scripture.

In the quote you provided, Dias speaks about the “Good News.” We must ask what precisely is the “Good News” according to Roman Catholic Cardinal Ivan Dias? He is not unclear about his understanding. The “gospel” according to Dias and his church is to be baptized (baptismal regeneration) and to receive the sacraments for graces to obey the Ten Commandments (impossible!) in order to hopefully merit salvation at the moment of death. Is that the same “gospel” you adhere to?
