Am I cheating on God? There are times I just want my own way. That cheats God of the relationship He wants to have with me.
That is the opposite of God’s goal for me. God wants us to faithfully love and adore Him. God wants us to pay attention to Him and do what He wants, not what we want.
God wants us to love. That pretty much sums up God’s goal.
I am more than happy when I know what he wants and then do it.
Jesus cares. He really cares a lot. What He gives to me in love is above and beyond anything else I could get from anyone else. There is no comparison.
God’s goal for me to be humble, obey Him and focus on love.
May live in His love and be more than happy.
You’re cheating on God. If all you want is your own way, flirting with the world every chance you get, you end up enemies of God and his way.
And do you suppose God doesn’t care? The proverb has it that ‘he’s a fiercely jealous lover.’ And what he gives in love is far better than anything else you’ll find. It’s common knowledge that ‘God goes against the willful proud; God gives grace to the willing humble.’
James 4 (NIV)
