Why it matters: Different cultures and religions have unique views of God. There is only one good news message though. That is the message of Jesus. He is everything wrapped up in something that doesn’t make sense to our puny minds.
The master plan: The message actually seems absurd to us. It doesn’t make sense to us at our human level. God is absolute perfection and completely set apart from what we naturally know. God is God.
Jesus came and has given us the key to enter into His presence. Jesus is everything we need.
Where is the one who is wise? Where is the teacher of the law? Where is the debater of this age? Hasn’t God made the world’s wisdom foolish? For since, in God’s wisdom, the world did not know God through wisdom, God was pleased to save those who believe through the foolishness of what is preached. For the Jews ask for signs and the Greeks seek wisdom, but we preach the Messiah crucified, a stumbling block to the Jews and foolishness to the Gentiles. Yet to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, the Messiah is the power of God and the wisdom of God, because God’s foolishness is wiser than human wisdom, and God’s weakness is stronger than human strength.

Here is good news. Jesus heals the sick and the demon possessed. Jesus does it all the time. Jesus is in the healing business. Nothing is impossible with God.
Many people desire miracles from God. They want God to perform miracles to “prove” Himself to them. “If only God would perform a miracle, sign, or wonder, then I would believe!”
This idea, though, is contradicted by Scripture. When God performed amazing and powerful miracles for the Israelites, did that cause them to obey Him? No, the Israelites constantly disobeyed and rebelled against God even though they saw all the miracles. The same people who saw God part the Red Sea later doubted whether God was able to conquer the inhabitants of the Promised Land.
Jesus performed countless miracles, yet the vast majority of people did not believe in Him. God performs miracles today as He did in the past, the result is the same.
People will be amazed and believe in God for a short time. That faith will be shallow and will disappear the moment something unexpected or frightening occurred. A faith based on miracles is not a mature faith.
God performed the greatest “God miracle” of all time in coming to earth as the Man Jesus the Messiah to die on the cross for our missing God’s goal for our lives so that we could be saved. God does still perform miracles—many of them simply go unnoticed or are denied. We do not need more miracles. What we need is to believe in the miracle of salvation through faith in Jesus the Messiah.
- Luke 8:35 (NASB) —The people went out to see what had happened; and they came to Jesus, and found the man from whom the demons had gone out, sitting down at the feet of Jesus, clothed and in his right mind; and they became frightened.
- Matthew 15:28 —Then Jesus said to her, “O woman, your faith is great; it shall be done for you as you wish.” And her daughter was healed at once.
- Luke 17:14–15 —When He saw them, He said to them, “Go and show yourselves to the priests.” And as they were going, they were cleansed. Now one of them, when he saw that he had been healed, turned back, glorifying God with a loud voice,
- John 9:38 —And he said, “Master, I believe.” And he worshiped Him.

Having taught last night on how we don’t know everything about God your point about we don’t know everything about God in a way that makes all sense to our mind is a reinforcement of things I’m meditating on. Thanks!
