I really meant to, but I just got overwhelmed with everything else on my to do list and all the crisis that came my way. Too many meetings and too many emails. It would have taken a lot (sacrifice) to have made time. I did not.

Is that what God wants from me? Nope, here is what pleases God. I need to have on the top of my to do list to do good and share with others. That is God’s goal for us.

12 So Jesus also suffered outside the gate in order to sanctify the people through his own blood. 13 Therefore let us go to him outside the camp and bear the reproach he endured. 14 For here we have no lasting city, but we seek the city that is to come. 15 Through him then let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that acknowledge his name. 16 Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God. Hebrews 13:12–16

Words of praise need supplementation by good deeds, a second kind of sacrifice that disciples of Jesus must offer to God through Jesus.

“Sharing” defines “the doing of good” with reference to sharing resources with fellow Christians who are enduring economic losses through. God’s taking pleasure in such sacrifices provides motivation for making them, and the plural in “such sacrifices” calls for repeated good deeds of sharing.[2]
