Yahweh is God. There is no other.

  • Jesus is the way to God. There is no other way.
  • Anyone who claims otherwise is lying.
  • It has always been this way and it always will be.

We note that “In the beginning, God …”

I am Yahweh [the Lord], and besides me there is no savior. I declared, saved, and proclaimed, when there was no strange god among you; and you are my witnesses,” declares Yahweh, “and I am God. Also, henceforth I am God; there is none who can deliver from my hand; I work, and who can turn it back?”

Yahweh’s deliverance of Israel also shows that He is the true God. He is her only Savior, and no one can oppose His plans. “Savior” is another title of God that Isaiah used frequently. God’s revealing His plans and saving His people could not be duplicated by any foreign god. Israel’s existence witnesses to His sovereignty and eternity. No one can reverse what God puts into action or thwart His plans.

God is God. When you bundle all the attributes of God in one unified whole, you have God. God is not just one or two things. God is unlike anything or anyone we could ever know or imagine. He is one of a kind, unique and without comparison. Even describing him with mere words truly falls short of capturing who he is – our words simply cannot do justice to describe our holy God.

God is infinite, never changes, has no needs, all powerful, all-knowing, always everywhere, full of perfect, unchanging wisdom, faithful, good, just, wrathful, merciful, gracious, loving, holy, glorious, infinitely beautiful and great and more. God is God.
