I will live for God. Even if no one else does, I will.
That is the main thing about the main thing.
How often do we try to force our way in the processes that the world normally uses. Sheer determination. We’ll get it done.
Persistence is valued but where does it really get us? Planning can be useless if leads to a lack of supernatural courageousness.
God’s plans ROCK. That is all that matters.
What happens when we live God’s way? We stick with Jesus, not our own plans. We develop an incredible sense of compassion in our heart. We are convinced there is a basic holiness that is permeating everything and everyone.
We don’t judge. We love no matter what.
In Jesus, we can be involved in loyal commitments. We are able, in Jesus the Messiah, to marshal and direct God’s energy.
Jesus habit was to teach about the way God intended things to be. He had a huge number of people that always showed up to hear what He had to say. Jesus knew what He was talking about because He didn’t do anything but what He saw and heard from His Father. And like so many times, the religious scholars of the day tested him and tried to trip Him up. They tried and tried but it never worked.
He was educating us about the new plan. The new plan is not the way of Moses or the prophets and the old plan. Much of the old plan was because of the us not God. Jesus had a message of good news and the way it was intended to be all along.
Jesus challenges us to understand the way God wants things in His world (Kingdom). Let’s get moving with God’s goals and his new plan.
Jesus then left that place and went into the region of Judea and across the Jordan. Again crowds of people came to him, and as was his custom, he taught them.
Some Pharisees came and tested him by asking …
“It was because your hearts were hard that Moses wrote you this law,” Jesus replied.
“But at the beginning of creation God …” (Mark 10:1-5)
Why worry? God has a plan. God is working his plan. We can trust in Him. He is in a very good mood. He will do what He says. He never abandons us at all. He is always looking out for our best interest. That is just the way He rolls.
With worry, if it is not one thing it is another. Worry is like a rocking chair, it gives you something to do but gets you nowhere.
Why worry? God has a plan. God’s plan is Jesus.
Worrying is a nasty habit ..you’ll notice if it ain’t one thing it’s another.
We love God but still don’t have a clear idea what He has in mind for us. What God has in mind is stunning. God is in such a good mood, all the time. Jesus paid the price for us to be in right standing with God. What an amazing God we serve.
We will be shocked by what God has in mind for us. That is good news indeed.
What does it take to be a part of God’s family? The answer is very straight forward. Jesus doesn’t hold anything back from us. His challenge to us to do what God wants. Obedience is the core of everything in God’s world. It is not about our plan. It is all about God’s plan. He has one. Will we obey it? Jesus challenges us to do so.
Now here is some VERY good news. Pretty simple and straightforward. In this day of complicated programs and books, simplicity rocks. The kids even have it on a bracelet. WWJD. What would Jesus Do?
God’s plan is for me to do what He has in mind for me. All the time. That puts me in the family of God. Good news for sure.
For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother. (Matthew 12:50)
