It means you walk right into the house without knocking. It means family members wait up for you when you are out late. It means that you are cared for enough that somebody wants to know where you’re going, when you will be back and reminds you to “be safe.” It means you get a kiss when you go out the door in the morning. That’s what being a member of the household means.
The Good News is that we are members of God’s household. And it’s the very same way at His House only better. So go on right in!
And don’t forget to yell “I’m HOME!!!” Jesus is so very glad to see you!
Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and aliens, but fellow citizens with God’s people and members of God’s household.” -Ephesians 2:19
