Victory in Jesus

Our leaders don’t always get it. They plot, the connive, they think they are in control. They defy God and think they are free from Jesus.

God has shut them up. Jesus came and established His rule and authority. God’s world and government has triumphed the present world order.

Nothing is impossible for Jesus, the Messiah. Jesus is in control. Jesus has been inaugurated already. Jesus has already won the victory.

Why the big noise, nations? Why the mean plots, peoples?
Earth-leaders push for position,
Demagogues and delegates meet for summit talks,
The God-deniers, the Messiah-defiers:
“Let’s get free of God!
Cast loose from Messiah!”

Heaven-throned God breaks out laughing.
At first he’s amused at their presumption;
Then he gets good and angry.
Furiously, he shuts them up:
“Don’t you know there’s a King in Zion? A coronation banquet
Is spread for him on the holy summit.”

Psalm 2:1-6

Regret

There a lot of things in life we all regret. They are the could of, would of, should ofs of life. Looking back can bring them all to focus. Regret can cripple us.

But if we make a run for God, we will never ever regret that. We need to use our heads when it comes to what we have authority over and not rebel.

We need to learn the lesson that God is in control.

Do we not know that our lives are in danger to ignore God? We need to turn to Him. We need to adore Him. We need to celebrate Him. He is in control.

We won’t regret it. Never ever!

So, rebel-kings, use your heads; Upstart-judges, learn your lesson: Worship God in adoring embrace, Celebrate in trembling awe. Kiss Messiah! Your very lives are in danger, you know; His anger is about to explode, But if you make a run for God—you won’t regret it! Psalm 2:10-12

Are there monsters in the closet?

I remember as a child not wanting to sleep in the dark. There were monsters in the closet and under the bed. The light helped. It always does.

There is something about the light. Jesus is the light. He drives out the darkness and all fear.

God’s goal for us is for us to live in the light. He is God and He is light. When we live in the light of His truth, there is no fear.

The LORD is my light and my salvation— whom shall I fear? Psalm 27:1

May I live in the light with Jesus. 

God Thoughts: Every day is my birthday

This is both prophecy about Jesus and also a message to us as God’s children. Our God is a living, today kind of God. What is His message to us today? God is in a good mood. He wants the best for us. 

See today like you would your birthday. Today is a day of celebration. What gift do we want from our Heavenly Dad? He will give us anything. Nations? Continents? Dancing in the street? Or, like Solomon, do we ask for wisdom.

I also think this is in the physical as well as spiritual world. He has promised it is all ours. Supernatural courage and His powerful Spirit make it so.

Let me tell you what God said next. He said, “You’re my son, And today is your birthday. What do you want? Name it: Nations as a present? Continents as a prize? You can command them all to dance for you, Or throw them out with tomorrow’s trash.” Psalms 2:7-9

May I seek and ask for His power today. What gift do I want from my Heavenly Dad? May I live like today is my birthday in Him.
