Here we go. Fasten the seat belts. Jesus nails it here. He always asks the right questions. I’ve got nowhere to hide. He is looking right at me.
How often do I question (even subtly) the goodness of God? Way too often. Usually daily. And many times it is very subtle in that I just don’t believe Jesus.
Trust is so very important. Later the disciples would ask “Then who has any chance at all?” Jesus looked hard at them and said, “No chance at all if you think you can pull it off yourself. Every chance in the world if you trust God to do it.”
God is good and God is in a good mood. Everything Jesus says and does reflects that truth. Jesus is the truth. Who am I to question Jesus about what’s good.
Jesus said, “Why do you question me about what’s good? God is the One who is good. If you want to enter the life of God, just do what he tells you.”
