Judge

Jesus is very clear. I am not to judge others. He is also clear that all judgement has been turned over to Him by His Father.

Why? Because He is God’s Son. He gets to decide, and He will carry it out. God has spoken.

If I know that, I need to act like it. I have no authority to judge. My only job is to love. Everything else is up to God and Jesus.

Truly, truly, I say to you, an hour is coming, and is now here, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear will live. 26 For as the Father has life in himself, so he has granted the Son also to have life in himself. 27 And he has given him authority to execute judgment, because he is the Son of Man. ~~Jesus  (John 5:25-27)

God the Father has entrusted Jesus with the authority to judge the living and the dead. This is a remarkable claim, because only God has the right and power to judge his creatures. Jesus is claiming to be equal to God in this respect.

Jesus is the Son of Man. This is a title that Jesus often used to refer to himself. It comes from the Old Testament prophet Daniel, who saw a vision of a heavenly figure who was given dominion and glory by God (Daniel 7:13-14). The Son of Man is both human and divine, and he represents God’s kingdom and salvation for his people.

Jesus is the unique mediator between God and humanity. He is the one who reveals God’s will and love to us, and he is the one who will judge us according to our response to him. He is the Lord and Savior of the world, and we need to trust and follow him.
