We live in a world of shortcuts. We are always looking for the effortless way, the quick way, things that take no to little effort.
There are people who make a fortune selling the “successful life” formula.
That is not God’s way for sure. Jesus challenges us in the new plan to hit the goal every minute of every day. Day in and day out. No shortcuts at all.
God’s new plan is a 24/7/365 deal.
Ready?
Don’t look for shortcuts to God. The market is flooded with surefire, easygoing formulas for a successful life that can be practiced in your spare time. Don’t fall for that stuff, even though crowds of people do.
~Jesus (Matthew 7:11-13)

“looking for the easy way,”
In my opinion, instead of ‘easy,’ substitute ‘better’ and the result is wisdom.
Same substitution is applicable to both Spiritual or practical wisdom.
Your post reminds me of an old wise saying,
“The first one hundred years in life is the hardest.”
Regards and goodwill blogging.
