Bold Faith

Our life in Jesus the Messiah begins with faith. Faith is the foundation of everything we do and speak. Without faith there is nothing else. Life would not be worth living without our faith in God.

By faith we know that with a word from God, the whole universe was created. What did not exist now exists because of God. God is God. God does whatever he wants without our permission. We can believe or not believe. God gives us that freedom and that choice.

May I grow my faith in Jesus every day!

The fundamental fact of existence is that this trust in God, this faith, is the firm foundation under everything that makes life worth living. It’s our handle on what we can’t see. The act of faith is what distinguished our ancestors, set them above the crowd.

By faith, we see the world called into existence by God’s word, what we see created by what we don’t see.

  • John 20:29 — 29 Jesus said to him, “Because you have seen Me, have you believed? Blessed are they who did not see, and yet believed.”
  • 2 Corinthians 4:18 — 18 while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.
  • Hebrews 11:1–3 — 1 Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. 2 For by it the men of old gained approval. 3 By faith we understand that the worlds were prepared by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things which are visible.
  • Hebrews 11:7 — 7 By faith Noah, being warned by God about things not yet seen, in reverence prepared an ark for the salvation of his household, by which he condemned the world, and became an heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.
  • Hebrews 11:27 — 27 By faith he left Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king; for he endured, as seeing Him who is unseen.
