There are ungodly and unrighteous people. They are evil. They have rejected God and His Son Jesus, the anointed King of God’s Kingdom.
They don’t even bother to acknowledge God.
So … God has moved on and quit bothering them. God has let them run loose and run amuck with their own depravity as their playground. It is VERY sad.
All hell has literally broken loose. Rampant evil is the name of the game. It is happening and it is serious. It is not to be ignored. God isn’t ignoring it. The unrighteous are grabbing and grasping for pleasure. They are viciously backstabbing the righteous messengers of God.
They don’t have to wait to “go to hell” as they have consciously made hell on earth. They are envious of the right life and benefits of a Godly life. They wanton kill and murder babies. They are killing the elderly and venerable. They bicker over shameful political positions. They cheat the poor.
Seriously! Step back and look at the ungodly. They are mean spirited first of all. Cruelty spews forth from the lips. It is venomous.
They are fork-tongued God bashers. It isn’t just doubting God. They hate God. They bully the faithful over our believe.
They swagger and are proud of their shameful positions. The atheists are insufferable windbags. They keep inventing new ways of wrecking lives.
They ditch their parents when they get in the way. Stupid, slimy, cruel, cold-blooded. They know better but pretend they don’t.
They know perfectly well they’re spitting in God’s face. And they don’t care — worse, they hand out prizes to those who do the worst things best!
There is good news. God sent Jesus to bring them out of the spiral of missing God’s goal. Some decide enough and radically change their minds. My job is point the way to Jesus. My job is to love. Love wins!
God still can touch their hearts. The story of Saul on the road to Damascus is their story …. not just rejecting Jesus but all out hate for everything Jesus.
Even so, while I do not hate God or reject Jesus outright, my sins separate me from God. I cannot judge others and think to myself, “see, I’m not so bad.” So whether I do so subtly or with an all out affront to all things God, I need to pray for and rely on His mercy in my life.
