We have a great promise from Jesus the Messiah. It is joy and happiness. Jesus wants me to have joy. Jesus my joy to be overflowing. Jesus wants my joy to be completed and fulfilled.

I am to be glad and joyful, even when I am being persecuted. When I am joyful, I know where my reward is. My reward is in heaven. Now that is good news.

In Jesus, my grief and sorrow are turned into joy. I am born again. I am a new creation. No one, not anyone, can take the joy of Jesus the Messiah away from me. Some will try. It seems like it is almost daily.

I need to ask the Father more in Jesus name. God cares about me and wants to give me joy and love. Asking and receiving brings me great joy. I can shout it out. I can leap for joy.

  • John 15:9–11 — “Just as the Father has loved Me, I have also loved you; abide in My love. “If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love; just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love. These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full.”
  • Matthew 5:11–12 — “Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great; for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
  • John 16:20–24 — “Truly, truly, I say to you, that you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice; you will grieve, but your grief will be turned into joy. Whenever a woman is in labor she has pain, because her hour has come; but when she gives birth to the child, she no longer remembers the anguish because of the joy that a child has been born into the world. Therefore you too have grief now; but I will see you again, and your heart will rejoice, and no one will take your joy away from you. In that day you will not question Me about anything. Truly, truly, I say to you, if you ask the Father for anything in My name, He will give it to you. Until now you have asked for nothing in My name; ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be made full.”
  • John 17:13 — “But now I come to You; and these things I speak in the world so that they may have My joy made full in themselves.”
